Synopsis

(std-ver-num)

Description

Returns the AutoCAD Version / Release as floating point number, to be able to do numerical comparisons. The scheme to get the number should be obvious from looking at the result of (GETVAR "ACADVER").

Real number of the AutoCAD main_release . sub_version

R10c10: 10.10

R12: 12.0

R13: 13.0 c1: 13.1 c2: 13.2 c4: 13.4 c4a: 13.41

R14: 14.0, 14.01

and so on.

IntelliCAD 98 returns 13.9 (14i - 0.1)

Cached version

This function is only called once, the result is stored in the global symbol *ACADVER-NUM*. All subsequent calls just return a result dependent on the value of this symbol.
